Newton's well-known Third Law of Motion states that "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction" (Newton, 1726, cited in O'Boyle, 2013, p. 101). This principle can apply in many different ways to the number of diverse areas. Change in the workplace is not an exception, although people have different opinions regarding changes and also different abilities to adapt to changes and new conditions.

Based on my experience, I believe that constant change in the workplace is essential for the survival of the company. The main reason is to keep pace with current trends, which are also the results of constant changes. My former employer was not able to adapt to new circumstances and had an insufficient interest in current situation and new trends. Despite the long-term success of the company, at a certain point, the change represented the only way in order to save the company. The lack of response to the necessity of change led to the fact, that the company was gradually forced to terminate its operation.

Based on the above I agree that "organizations always need to change - some more than others, depending upon how fast-paced change is within the given industry and how successful the organization has been at keeping pace with the change" (Allcorn 2005, p. 25). In the event that my former employer acted in accordance with above mentioned statement, the company would most presumably still exist.
