Using examples from, Love Canal, Spotted Owl , and Katrina, cases answer the following questions. Please make sure to write a short paper (3-4 pages) that includes the following;

- Define the concepts of utilitarian and deontology. Using at least two different cases, give an example that illustrates each ethical viewpoint and include at least one stakeholder who was significantly impacted by each perspective.

Describe how the stakeholder was impacted (socially, economically, and environmentally) and how did the stakeholder defined and communicated the problem. Make sure to define the ethics concepts (and cite the definitions and the cases).

- Then, selecting a different case, define and discuss how the problem in the case is seen from two environmental ethical viewpoints from the following: frontier economics, preservation, conservation, environmental protection, eco-development perspective).

Again, give an example of at least one stakeholder who was significantly impacted by each perspective. Describe how the stakeholder was impacted (socially, economically, and environmentally) and how did the stakeholder defined and communicated the problem. Make sure to define the ethics concepts (and cite the definitions and the cases).

- With one of the above cases, identify and describe a key policy change or decision that was made and its associated impacts (+ or - social, environmental or economic outcomes) of these actions/decisions. What factors/tools enabled and/or hindered the decision makers from making this change. Finally, explain why this policy from the case has shaped today's policies and/or political framework.

- Don't forget to begin with short introduction and end with a brief conclusion.
