Technology has changed the way we communicate. Last year when my daughter left for college I gave her a book of stamps and she asked what she needed them for. I simply said, maybe you want to write a letter or mail a card or something. She laughed and told me that she would definitely not be writing a letter because it takes too long to deliver the message. Then she reminded me that I had put her on a budget and therefore she would not be buying cards when she could just send e-cards for free. My son can barely write in cursive because everything he does is on the computer. I now hate talking on the phone and will text just to keep from actually talking to someone. What positive/negative effects do you think technology has had on the development of one's people/soft skills?
