My two year old grandchild swallowed a necklace. Thank God we noticed a piece of the necklace hanging out of her rectum and had taken her to the hospital. After xrays it was determined the necklace was in three pieces and had made it near her lower bowel area. The doctor had prescribed Miralax which is an over the counter med to her and wanted her to take a half of cap twice a day, twelve hours apart. Is it safe for a toddler with a necklace in the bowels and is this known to push out enough feces to remove the necklace or will Miralax cause watery diarrhea, in addition I read something about it had antifreeze in it. Am I correct?
