MY Topic: Should universal healthcare be available to all regardless of their ability to pay in the same way that other services such as education are available to all for free.

Prepare: To prepare to respond to this prompt, make sure to read carefully over the required portions of Chapter 3 and Chapter 4. View the deLaplante (2013) video What Is a Valid Argument?- "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePmXbBvXxP8&feature=youtu.be&list=PLB8A5292FC68E2D77" as well as the other required media for the week. For more guidance about how to construct a valid argument - "https://ashford.mediaspace.kaltura.com/media/Constructing+Valid+Arguments+Video/0_qqlvduic" for a controversial position, review the Constructing a Valid Argument video and the document How to Construct a Valid Deductive Argument- "https://bridgepoint.equella.ecollege.com/curriculum/file/c5a7b281-fd78-4118-ae03-69a16080cf7f/1/PHI103%20How%20to%20Construct%20a%20Valid%20Main%20Argument.pdf" .

Based on the sources, create a deductively valid argument for the position you defended in the Week One discussion.

Reflect: To make your argument deductively valid, you will need to make sure that there is no possible way that your premises could be true and your conclusion false. Your premises must lead logically to the truth of your conclusion. Make sure that your argument is sound, that is in addition to being valid, make sure that the premises are true as far as you can tell. If your argument is invalid or if it has a false premise, revise it until you get an argument that you can stand behind.

Write: Identify the components and structure of your argument by presenting your deductively valid argument in standard form, and explain how your conclusion follows from your premises.

Example of format require for this discussion below:

Premise 1: Torturing war criminals is a good technique for gaining information in a timely manner.

Premise 2: Information gained by torturing war criminals may be useful to the military during periods of war.

Premise 3: Military officials can use information obtained from torturing war criminals aid the troops formulate future plans and stop an attack before it happens.

Premise 4: If torturing war criminals will assist military personnel with stopping an attack it will countless innocent lives and military equipment.

Conclusion: Therefore, torture is allowable because in the long rung it saves countless innocent lives and government equipment.

My conclusion comes straight from my premises. Each premise goes into the next premise. My conclusion is deducted from all four premises each supporting the other. Each premise, is proven and will bring you to a valid straightforward conclusion.
