My husband is using fetanyl patches and is experiencing a lot of irratation, itching, blistering, etc. Is there an alternative to these patches that would give round the clock pain medicaiton? He has end stage liver disease with COPD, enphysema. My husband had back surgery on 3,4,5,lumbar and is still having chronic pain from the back injury. Surgery did not help the pain.
