My HMO and I are having an issue regarding the refilling of an existing Rx for Quinine Sulfate Tablets, 324 mg. tabs. The Rx is for 30 days only and has been refilled 2x with no problems. HMO now claims QS as used to treat leg cramps is an "experimental drug" and as such is not covered. They offered no alternative. This drug eliminated the cramps 100%. What Rx besides Quinine Sulfate is effective in the tx of severe PM leg cramps?
