Evaluate your concept of religion by answering the following questions, which are designed to help you develop a sufficiently broad and precise concept of religion.

1. Describe your concept of religion as specifically as possible. Where did the concept originate for you? How has it evolved as you have matured? Explain the reasons or experiences that support your concept.

2. Does your definition reduce religion to what you happen to be acquainted with by accident of birth and socialization?

3. Does your definition reflect a bias on your part - positive or negative - toward religion as a whole or toward a particular religion?

4. Does your definition limit religion to what it has been in the past, and nothing else, or does your definition make it possible to speak of emerging forms of religion?"
