Your company, Rasmussen Consulting, was hired by MovieFlix, a company that provides subscription service for on-demand Internet streaming media and DVD-by-mail within the U.S. You are the consultant that Rasmussen has decided to assign the MovieFlix case to.

To begin your assignment you will need to select one of the business problems described on the Course Project - Introduction page. To complete your assignment, you will need to do the following:

• Research your business issue. You will need to use a minimum of 4 credible sources for your research, with 2 being academic sources, such as a book or an academic scholarly journal. Academic scholarly journals can be accessed through the Rasmussen Online Library. For business sources, ProQuest and EBSCO Host are helpful.

*A note about credible sources: Credible sources are reliable, accurate, and trustworthy. These sources are written by authors respected in their fields of study. You want to identify sources where the author of the article is listed, if they've referenced other information, the sources should be cited so that you can check for the accuracy of and support what they have written. Wikipedia is not considered a credible source.

Module Course Project - Strategic Planning and Team Building

The assignments below will give you an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge of strategic planning and team building. For your Course Project in this Module, you will need to do the following:

Part 1: Strategic Planning

You have been working as a consultant to help MovieFlix solve a business problem. It is now time to begin the strategic planning phase of your project. You've previously described to MovieFlix's leadership your analysis of their business problem. Now it's time to provide them with a full plan and timeline for solving the problem.

For your assignment, you will need to do the following:

1. Create a chart/table where you detail a SWOT analysis for MovieFlix. For your SWOT analysis, you need to list 3 internal strengths, 3 internal weaknesses, 3 external opportunities, and 3 external threats for MovieFlix.

2. In 1-2 paragraphs, discuss the information that you put into your SWOT analysis. Why did you list the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that you did? Why are they strengths, weaknesses, etc.?

3. Now detail the rest of the steps that you will guide MovieFlix through to reach a positive resolution to their problem. Make sure that you provide their leadership team with a timeframe for when you anticipate the project to be completed by.
