Understanding how to create and customize a cover letter is crucial to landing an interview. Take the time to personalize your cover letter to the specific position and do not forget to proofread!

Base your cover letter on the position you located and used for the first draft of your resume that was due in Module 02.
Create a customized cover letter to the job position. Be sure to review the samples located in Module 02 and also in Optimal Resume. Your cover letter should contain keywords that are industry specific. Don't forget to highlight your education, transferable skills, and experience!
Create a single Word document that contains the following:
Your completed cover letter.
A cover page containing a short description of the job posting that you used in Module 02 Resume Assignment- First Draft.
Within the cover page, you must also include a link to your cover letter on Optimal Resume.
