Write a 3 page paper (excluding cover page) responding to the following:

Miranda Warnings are a high point of contention in the law enforcement scene. There are many misunderstandings as to when "Miranda" applies. Watch the following video and discuss what you would do in this situation: 

You are a new police officer on duty and it is your first arrest. You are called to a house break in. You see a young boy outside of the house and you arrest him. You do not have any evidence but you take him to the Police Station for questioning.

When you get to the Police Station you realize that the suspect does not speak English. You tried to question him and he replied in Mandarin. You know that the law requires you to administer a warning and ask the suspect if they understand. It is clear that he does not understand what you are saying.

You are not absolutely sure he was involved in the break in but he was on the scene when you arrived. A family member arrives to see the boy and speaks English and asks you what is happening. Both the boy and the family member do not know their rights. What do you do?

The paper should contain a cover page and a list of references in APA format. 

All text pages should be double-spaced and in 12-point font.
