McDonald’s is the number one leading fast food service for profit company in the world. The company has experienced both some good years and bad ones, but overall, they are known for their low-priced meals both in the States and around the world. Their campaigns are done in such a family-oriented atmosphere that sends a message to the communities they serve and how important family is to them.

The story of how McDonald’s came to existence started way back in 1950’s when a man by the name Ray Kroc discovered a small burger restaurant in California that was ran by brothers D and Mac McDonald’s. the two brothers whose restaurant only concentrated on very limited items were in search of a new agent, and that was when Ray Kroc in 1955 discovered the McDonald’s system and that was how the McDonald’s story began. The company has over thirty-six thousand restaurants in more than one hundred countries around the world and they are continuing to rapidly grow as time goes on.

The types of products and services offered at McDonald’s are McChicken, McNuggets, fries, Angus cheese burgers, chicken wraps of different types, fish sandwiches, and salads. McDonald’s also offers breakfast items such as fruit and maple oatmeal, Pancakes, egg McMuffin, Sausage biscuit, and many more. Their strategic goal and objective as a company is to serve good food to customers in a friendly, fun environment, and to be a socially responsible company, while also providing good returns to their shareholders.

The current state of the workforce at McDonald’s looks positive with employees being given opportunities to grow and being rewarded for accomplishments at work. They work in an ethical environment where progress is based on merit. Training of workforce is also laid emphasis on and the manpower belongs to diverse backgrounds which serves as another plus.

Competencies such as verbal communication are essential to let the company prosper. The employees at, McDonald’s are regularly trained and made to interact with their colleagues who belong to varied backgrounds. This helps them open with different kinds of people and helps them in customer management. Thus, the company's current competencies are well aligned with the company's strategic goals.

McDonald's have been a Pioneer in burger industry since it was originated. As there was literally no competition of McDonalds well it was introduced to the customers. McDonald used to provide services based on speed as well as quality. McDonald's has grown Its big competitors in a changing industry now people are more aware to their food. Competitor has grown with different food options to the customers and providing quality foods. Most of the company’s revenue from retail items comes from the burgers which are a major part of McDonald’s food list. Burgers and go on a strong competition as the new competitors such as burger King and other competitors are providing much better food in the same price.

McDonalds I am loving it campaign is what are the most successful campaign in the world in terms of providing identity to an organization. It started as a competition to find out the best available slogan for the company which is Catching to the year of the customer as well as easy to pronounce and to modify according to the different markets. At the end of the competition McDonald's was successful in getting a slogan of I love it which was later modified to I am loving it. Buy collaborating with different stars and directly affecting and spending $1.3 million on promotion what's the reason of the success of this is specific campaign to give McDonald's as their identity. This identity definitely increases the region of reach and directly increase your level of profits for the organization as it was known to more and more people across the globe with the help of the specific tagline ('I'm lovin' it' a hit as McDonald's aims for new markets, 2004).
