Many Western non-profit agencies are helping to increase technological innovation and development in third-world countries. For example, say a London-based non-profit organization helped farmers increase production by installing certain pieces of technology (e.g., solar roof panels) in an African village. Would you consider the organization's actions as another form of neocolonialism (referring to a new form of imperialism in which a country exploits the resources of a third-world country for economic or political gain), or good-willed people trying to help a struggling country, or a combination of both? Indicate what your position is and provide your rationale, along with examples to support your rationale. Also, indicate and support your position on whether installing technology is beneficial for these countries or not (both immediate and long-term).
