In the article some of the focus is on the issue that management might use research in gathering information and that research discovery is a valid effort but results are contingent and might be useful in some situations but not all situations.

Assuming: 

• decisions should be informed decisions
• some decisions require prompt decision-making
• research is time consuming
• management is a decision-making entity

Q1. Discuss with your colleagues the implications of this article from the Harvard Business Review to the issue of the use of research by management.
