Part 2

you can agree or disagre in the following

  • Assess the value of dynamic strategic thinking, particularly in the health care environment. Speculate on the most significant potential consequences should a health care organization neglect to think strategically. Give at least one (1) specific example of the constant changes that keep health care organizations seeking new strategies continually.
  • Organizations risk failing when there services suffer loses. Organizations have to have growth strategies things that can be worked on to continue to make it better. This will expand their services with the right strategic planning. With changes of strategies in the health care organization it keeps increases competition and with staying competitive you constantly bringing change to better it as well as patient services which brings a positive reputation more people interested and a bigger income for the organization. By neglecting to plan strategically your not planning smart or at all and the risk is completely failing is not being able to uphold because you have no value and mission behind why you stand you have no answers for situations that happen its like having no structure. Example of constant change is technology that is a major factor in the health system yet it is constantly updating month after month and health care organizations have to keep up theres so many machine that does the work for us but can malfunction we have to constantly see what works and what doesnt as well take chances.
  • Analyze the importance of having a competitive advantage in health care. Recommend two (2) actions that a hospital could take in order to achieve a competitive advantage. Provide a rationale for your response.

It is important to have a competitive advantage because you have to have something that set you aside from another health care organizations to pull the patients in. You also have to continue to implement change and growth just as because the world and people in it are changing so you must keep up with whats going on at the moment whats more important to a patient in a health care organization and pleasing them. Actions that a hospital can take is patient questionnaires see what you are lacking in and need to grow in make proper changes and or adjustment to show them your listening and you are here for them. Quality of Health is one of the most important things to always work on and improveI would like to add that competition for nursing positions is high and will be getting higher with the retirement of the baby boomer's so I think we will be seeing sign-on bonuses for many years.

I think the sign-on bonus should correlate with the salary of the position.

  • For example, if the position salary is $50,000 then the sign-on bonus should be at least $5,000.
