Introduction

Today job seekers see dollar signs as Americans pursue a working environment that will help pay the bills with a potential for growth so that they can live that American dream, and for many others there is a different type of dream. A dream that promotes wellbeing, having fun at work and a less stressful work day. If this type of work day appeals to you and you're in the right industry you may be in luck. Organizational climate represents employees' beliefs about what they "see" going on at work and beliefs about "what" is happening to them. Positive climates are more likely to create the type of environment needed for positive organizational behavior to take root in an organization (Kinicki, 2015). Many employers are changing how they interact with their staff and are creating an organizational climate to attract a different type of employee. Google has boomed over the last ten years into one of the most pursued companies in the world to work at. This paper will cover whether Google uses positive organizational behavior, if so how do they demonstrate their organizational behavior, and if they do, what type of other organizational culture does Google use.

Organizational Behavior is the study of how people working for large companies or organizations think and behave, and the effect that this has on the company or organization that they work for. Team C chose Google as we all know and utilize Google search engines we wanted to know more about what makes Google a top 5 organization to work for and how the leadership at Google retains great talent and keeps pushing technology beyond what we know it today.

Google demonstrates positive organizational behavior through investing in human capital and as a conscious capitalistic organization the company mission includes improving the lives of human beings and environment. According to Google.com, 'Googlers hail from all walks of lifeand speak dozens of languages, reflecting the global audience that we serve and we strive to maintain the open culture often associated with startups, in which everyone is a hands-on contributor and feels comfortable sharing ideas and opinions.' ("Google Company", 2016) Google demonstrates the amplifying effect as their offices and cafes are designed to encourage interactions between Googlers within and across teams, and to spark conversation about work as well as play ("Google Company", 2016). The main emphasis is in retaining skillful well trained employees and many pro-social interactions are fostered throughout Google work climate to keep Googlers motivated and excited for work. Looking at a map of the work campuses you will see the many areas built to allow employees the opportunity to socialize during lunch, breaks or team builders. This is another example of both the amplifying effect and pro-social choices made by leadership. The investment in human and social capital by Google is not only to create an effective team atmosphere but a specific positive deviance put in place by company leadership to see the return of employees going above and beyond the norm. Google Company website shows ten things they know to be true and throughout these ten pillars of success Googlers are encouraged to reflect upon these ten pillars to ensure their mission holds true to when they were founded in 1998. The ten pillars are as follows: Focus on the user and all else will follow, It's best to do one thing really really well, Faster is better than slow, Democracy works on the web, You don't need to be at your desk to need an answer, You can make money without doing evil, There's always more information out there, The need for information crosses all borders, You can be serious without a suit, Great just isn't good enough ("Google Company", 2016). This approach and definition of excellence to what we know as the main source for searching anything and everything is why Team C chose Google as the leadership has created a culture that strives in promoting and fostering a great working climate.
