Leadership Theory paper

The overall purpose of this paper is to examine leadership. In the first part of the analysis, you would discuss why leadership is a fundamental part of an organization. Next, you would pick one leadership theory that you find interesting. Define and discuss this theory (i.e. characteristics or components of this theory). Then, for the final part of the analysis, discuss how your chosen theory could benefit either your own organization, or an organization in general, by providing specific examples that connect to the characteristics of your chosen theory.

NOTE:

You only need to pick one theory. However, within some of the theories, there are sub-groups of the theory. For example, Situational theories has Path-Goal theory and Fiedler's Contingency Model. You would only need to pick one. You would not have to explain both Path-Goal theory and Fiedler's model. Nevertheless, you can note in your paper, that it is falls under the Situational theories.<-- I hope this makes sense, if it doesn't just email me.

Some of the leadership theories that do not have subgroups, are Trait, Behavioral, and Servant theory (just to name a few).

Furthermore, you do not have to discuss every single characteristic within your chosen theory. Just focus on a few that you think are important.

A sample leadership paper can be found in the Start Here tab.
