Kuhn describes the way in which ideas come to be seen as "normal" in the scientific disciplines. His ideas can be applied to more commonplace experience as well. Give an example of a paradigm shift (the making of "new normal") that you have experienced in an organization or society at large. Describe how what was once seen as very odd or even wrong has come to be seen as the mainstream - but be careful that you don't simply describe a change in behavior - which is not always the result of a paradigm shift. Having cell phones, for example, isn't a paradigm shift. Paradigm shifts are "bigger" and reflect changes in fundamental social beliefs and assumptions about how life should be lived.?
