• In this unit, we discussed the creation of body paragraphs for your research paper. You should have a good idea of what your revised thesis statement will look like, the points that you want to include, and the evidence you will use to support those points.
Let's take just a moment and think about the process so far. Feel free to use this writing as a reflection upon what you have experienced so far in the course. You might want to consider some of the questions below, but you are not required to answer them. Remember, as always, that this discussion should be a positive and constructive experience for you. The idea is that you reflect upon the process so that you understand it, understand yourself as a new student writer, and understand the challenges and successes you experience.

Description: In this assignment, you will write three to four body paragraphs according to the form that is explained in "Lesson 3: The Body Paragraphs." The following requirements must be included in the assignment:
• Body Paragraphs: You will construct three to four paragraphs comprised of five to seven sentences each. Each paragraph should be between 150-200 words. At a minimum, this portion of the paper should be around 450-600 words (for three to four paragraphs); a body section of this length will meet the minimum requirements of the assignment. The following components must be included in each body paragraph (in the following order).
o Sentence 1: Point/reason sentence: This topic sentence will contain one of your reasons.
o Sentence 2: Explanation: In this sentence, you provide information that further develops or explains Sentence 1.
o Sentence 3: Illustration: This sentence introduces evidence that supports the reason that is presented in Sentence 1.

• In this unit, we have taken a closer look at writing as a craft. We have revisited the writing process and methods for invention, we have examined informal logical fallacies, and we have discussed paragraph cohesion.
For this writing, think about your past experiences with writing (which may include the experiences you have had in this course). What advice about writing did you find most helpful? Why? Please explain the context that led to this advice. You may also tell more than one story about your writing experiences.
The objective of your discussion is to consider the advice of other writers and how we can always improve our writing by listening to others. Further, you are sharing that advice with your reader by reflecting upon the experience.

Case Study
The standards in Subpart S are consistently in the top 10 in OSHA's most frequently cited standards lists and highest penalties assessed lists. The standards in Subpart S are complex and often misunderstood-even by professional electricians.
Use the checklist here to conduct an electrical safety inspection of your workplace. Add the citation for the OSHA standard for each question. In the comments section for each item, include your recommendations for correcting the violations.
If a checklist item does not apply to your organization, explain why in the comments. In the summary section at the end of the checklist, discuss the significance of any noncompliance you found, and identify the types of injuries that might result if the violations are left uncorrected. If you did not find any noncompliance, discuss what your organization does to prevent electrical safety violations and electrical injuries. Compile the checklist information into a report that outlines the major issues, if any, found in your workplace.

PowerPoint Presentation
The 2012 revision to the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires that employers train workers on the GHScompliant hazard warning labels and safety data sheets (see 1910.1200(h)(3)(iv)).
Using Appendices C and D of the current standard as a resource, develop a 10-slide PowerPoint presentation that can be used to train the employees at your workplace or a workplace with which you are familiar.
Include examples of the hazardous materials found in your selected workplace in the presentation. When creating your presentation, be sure your explanations and discussion are in plain language and at a level suitable for your target workforce; do not just quote the standard.

Part I: The General Duty Clause Using the requirements for General Duty Clause violations in Chapter 4 of the OSHA Field Operations Manual (FOM) and any additional information you can find in OSHA compliance directives or standards interpretations, describe a situation involving ergonomics that could be cited as a violation of the General Duty Clause (Section 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act). Explain how your citation meets the four elements listed in the FOM as necessary to prove such a violation.
