Identifying these strengths and weaknesses, and analyzing the opportunities and flow them canbe done through a technique called SWOT Analysis

What makes SWOT especially powerful is that, with a little thought, it can help you uncover opportunities that you would not otherwise have spotted And by understanding your weaknesses, you can manage and elnimate threats that might otherwise hurt your ability to move forward.

SWOT analysis provides a structure for analysing either your own and weaknesses, and the Opportunities and threats you face, or in a work context for analysing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats 3. business or event faces. Ideally it is one in'a process which helps you to

- appreciate the strengths of a situation, and you may then decide to build on these;

- define the weaknesses, which you might choose to minimize

- make the most of the opportunities that present themselves, and 

- recognize the possible and treat them in a planned and organized way.

To perform a SWOT analyses simply try to answer the questions in each area below

Strengths

- What advantages do you have that others don‘t have (for example, skills, certifications, education, or connections)?

- What do you do better than anyone else?

- What personal resources can you access?

- What do other peeple (and your boss, in particular) see as your strengths?

- Are any of your competitors failing to do something important? If so, can you take advantage of their mistakes?

You might find useful opportunities in the following:

- Networking events, educational classes, or conferences.

- A new role or project that forces you to learn. new skills, like public speaking or international relations.

- Do you have specific skills (like a second language) that could help With the process?

Also, importantly, look at your strengths, and yourself whether these openpup any opportunities and look at your weaknesses, "and ask yourself. Whether you could open up opportunities by eliminating those weaknesses.

Threats

- What obstacles do you currently face in your field?

- Are any of your. classmates/colleagues competing with you for roles?

- Is your job (or the demand for the things you do) changing?
