Is this a valid evaluation of a empirical theory? Please see below.
(T)The first theory that will be evaluated is the belief in superstition and that this belief does not bring people luck (E) because it is not founded on a rational belief system and is non scientific.

In this passage, Wiseman means to explain the regularity that superstition, whether it be part of our belief system or not, it should not and does not play a roll in our luck or ill fortune in life. However, because superstition is based on outdated beliefs of our ancestors, we may be influenced by the adoption of their belief system which guide us to make certain decisions.

Wiseman bases his conclusions on an experiment in which he conducted. He interviews and studies over 400 people who are self professed 'lucky' or 'unlucky'. He devised a method of evaluating each individual case, whereby he may have asked them 'why do you feel lucky? Or unlucky?'. Most that felt they had the experience of being lucky, provided examples such as happiness with their partner, with children or work. Others that felt or thought they were unlucky, provided examples of failed relationships and high stress jobs. The results of his research deemed that people generate their own good fortune by four basic principles, attitude, decisions, listening to intuition, positive expectations. Not by superstitious beliefs.

A plausible alternate theory might be that superstition could play a roll in the lives of those that are lucky or unlucky. Maybe not scientifically, but by believing that a particular course of action could influence or impact a situation and so you believe in something other than a 'founded' belief system. For example, if you believe that walking under a ladder will result in some form a bad luck, and so you cross the street, to avoid such an encounter, only to find you meet the love of your life, who too is walking on the same side of the street. On this account, can we resolve that your belief system fails? The belief of superstition lead you to make the decision to cross the street to avoid an ill fate only, however, you received some good luck by meeting that love of your life.
