Is John a Genuine Gospel? Combined Sources or Development of Tradition?

1. Choose one book of the New Testament and answer the following questions

a. Who is the author?

b. What is the date for the original writing?

c. Who was the intended audience (province)?

d. Identify the purpose and primary themes of the book.

2. Requirements

a. MLA format with in-text citations and Works Cited

b. A minimum of three scholarly resources must be used in addition to the Harris Text

i. Total resources per question (the same resources should be used for each question)
ii. Websites allowed
iii. Introduction books preferred, giving the better grade
iv. Commentaries would be the second preference
v. Unabridged Dictionaries/ Encyclopedias would be the third preference

1. No standard Dictionaries/Encyclopedias such as Merriam-Webster; Britannica, etc.

2. Use only bible or theological works

c. Length: 1200-1800 words (the word count does not include the Heading or the Works Cited; it is the text only)
