BACKGROUND INFORMATION

In the video Responsible sourcing in Nestle (Video file, 2 min 24 sec), the company explains how they ensure the sources of their hazelnuts is done responsibly. Nestle procures hazelnuts and other raw ingredients from six of the seven continents (Nestle, 2015). So how does Nestle ensure they are only purchasing raw ingredients from responsible sources? What is a responsible source?

In the M4A1 Final Project Milestone Two, you conducted a SWOT analysis on your chosen developed and developing countries. You were provided substantive feedback from your instructor. The feedback falls into two general categories, content and formatting. For this assignment, we will focus on the content-related feedback.

Tasks:

1. Utilizing the content-related instructor feedback provided to you in Final Project Milestone Two: SWOT Analysis, conduct the necessary follow-up research and analysis to thoroughly respond to the comments. Your response should include a revised SWOT analysis matrix (using the same template provided in M4A1). Your response should be of sufficient length to ensure you have thoroughly answered the questions and concerns posed by instructor in their feedback.

2. Ensure you support your responses with scholarly reference material.

For this milestone, you will complete the following: After reviewing the video SWOT Analysis (Video file, 6 min 16 sec), use the template provided (MS Excel file) to conduct a SWOT analysis for EACH of your two countries (developed and developing). Your SWOT analysis should be thorough, incorporate scholarly research, and potentially some quantitative analysis (i.e. - a projection of foreign currency exchange rates). Your deliverables include:

SWOT analysis matrix for EACH of your two countries using the template provided.

Written justification for each factor you included in your matrix. Justification should be supported by scholarly evidence (i.e. - peer-reviewed journal articles). For criteria that could include data as evidence, calculations should be incorporated into your analysis write-up (i.e. - you did a Monte Carlo simulation to determine the likelihood that gas prices would rise in the future, and you used this value as a potential threat - results of Monte Carlo simulation should be included in your write-up). You will provide a SWOT analysis for both countries. (MS Word document, 3-5 pages total APA formatted). Submit only one document for both SWOTs.
