Learning Outcomes b) Identify and describe the elements involved in the planning and staging of events.
d) Explain the role and purpose of events in society.

Instructions:

Overview:

This assessment requires you to research an event and share your knowledge with the class. Choose one of the events listed in the Australian Government Department of Social Services 'Calendar of Cultural and Religious Dates' available in the module two content and share your findings on a wiki.

When you have chosen the event you are interested in researching post your choice under the date and month it occurs in the course wiki. If another student has already chosen the event you will need to go back and reselect an alternative event.

What you should be researching for your Wiki:

You should research the event in detail from credible academic sources as well as popular media and experiential knowledge where applicable.

Your contributions to the wiki should include:

1. the type of events you are each interested in attending

2. why you think those types of events would be interesting/fun/beneficial
