Intervention Proposal Paper-also known as Business Strategy Project

Each student will prepare a paper about an issue that needs correction in a company. If you are not currently working, then choose something that you experienced as an issue that needed changed at a previous company.

This paper is a "proposal" of the intervention you "would" do if you had the opportunity.

You will be asked to submit an outline halfway through the course so that your instructor can see your progress and make sure you are proceeding in the proper manner.

Paper should be prepared in APA Format.

A. Introduction; History of the company (one page)

B. SWOT analysis breakdown (one page)

C. Identification of area(s) needing to be corrected or improved and individuals or departments involved. (one page) What is the current organizational structure, chain of command, etc.

D. Describe your intended project-use the following bullet points as headings in your paper to briefly, but thoroughly and clearly, describe the following: (two to three pages).

Make sure you identify the type of intervention you plan to use and whether it is more developmental or design oriented. Is this an individual, group, or organizational intervention?

• Urgent/Compelling Need for Change

• Short-Term and Long Term Goals

• Measurable, Bottom-Line Results (that you are hoping to achieve)

• Available Resources for Change (are they in place, or do you need to request more?)

• Address money and time

• Completion in Three to Six Months (is it possible?)

• Expected Result

E. You should be detailing if you plan to use a survey, observation, etc. How will it be administered or performed? (at least half page)

F. How will your intervention affect productivity, motivation, etc. By what percent do you expect to make improvements? (at least half page)

G. When and how would you do follow up to make sure your initiative is working past three to six months. (at least half page)
