Your company has decided to enter a new market region. The company has historically constructed projects in the southeast, but now wants to expand operations to the northeast.

Your company typically works on federal construction projects mainly for NAVFAC facilities department. To be competitive in this region the company will need to be involved multiple award task order (MATOC) bidding see this article for more information: Matoc Article

This will require building a record of excellent ratings on projects in that region. The company has excellent ratings on its projects in the Southeast. Currently the company has no satellite offices in the region and will need to deliver bids via runners since electronic delivery is not permitted for NAVFAC proposals.

Assignment:

1.  Develop a list five (5) threats to the success of this move. (Think of more than financial risk i.e climate, union vs. nonunion etc.).

2.  Construct a risk matrix (there are many examples online!!) and identify the "critical", "monitor", and "ignore" threats.

3.  Explain your reasoning and recommend a response for each threat.
