The Great Stupa at Sanchi (page 304)

According to the book, this monument was built for the purpose of burial for holy people. This structure resembles Indian Buddhist religion. This creation was built with the religion in mind for its people.

Kandariya Mahadeva Temple (page 307)

The book states that this structure was built for the Hindu people. A lot of the monument represents the love that they worship. This beautiful building represents the Hindu people and their beliefs very well.

Borobudur (page 310)

According to the book, this "Indian stupa or sacred mountain" was built for spiritual refreshments. This was a big deal to these people. They needed a place to worship and this was the place for it.

Angkor Wat (page 311)

This monument appears to have been used for the purpose of work instead of worship. This beautiful building reminds me of something of a factory than a temple. It is a very interesting creation,.

Main Shrine at Ise (page 320)

In Japan, this building was built as a holy place. It was built and then rebuilt. It is surrounded by a forest to provide privacy.
