Your major project for the semester is to write a business plan. For full details, go to the section of the course, entitled "Business Plan". There you will find lots of resources to make this a productive and successful exercise.

You have a choice of doing a business plan on a company of your own creation OR on a new product line or geographic location for a company doing business in the USA. If you choose to do a new product line or geographic location, you must send me an email naming the company for my approval. Whatever you choose, do not start on your business case until I have approved your selection. (You can send me a D2L email with your proposed topic.) This is an individual assignment, so I don't want more than one business case on a company. If someone already has proposed to do a plan on the company you want to do, you will need to choose another one.

The business case should be in the format outlined in this section of the course.

I encourage you to do lots of research, but please remember that I want the report to be your own words and work. Don't just cut and paste or copy from another source. I will check. Please give me a list of all resources used in the paper as a bibliography. Footnotes aren't necessary, but if you use words written by another, you should enclose them in quotation marks and identify the source/author.
