In this essay you are to reflect on your experience developing your group project. The goal of the paper is to explain how you have come to understand your topic in terms of your broader learning in the class. Your focus should be on your own thinking and what you learned about Media and Communication Studies during the process of putting this project together.

My group project is Journalism, truth and ideology

Your essay should be at least 2-3 pages (double-spaced with one-inch margins). This should be a formal essay. You don't need to address every single question below; they are meant to help you to reflect.

Guiding questions:

Are there course concepts that you now understand more deeply through your research? If so, which ones and why?

How did your research questions change over time? What did you learn along the way that motivated those shifts?

What did you learn about yourself and your work style in the process of collaboration?

How was presenting your research through a WikiSpace different than if you had written a scholarly research paper? What do you think you were able to provide your reader/audience that you might not have been able to otherwise?

Are there particular concepts that you became drawn to and wanted to further pursue?

Has your research changed how you feel about the topic you chose?

Looking back, is there anything you wish that you and your group had done differently with regards to your approach to your research topic? If so, what and how would you like to have changed things?

If you were to continue research on your topic, what would you want to look into next?

How has your research changed the way you think about the topic you studied?

What kinds of MCS courses would you like to take in the future to deepen the interests you developed in this class?
