In this discussion you will be searching for an academic quality website to paraphrase a key idea. You will want to keep the paraphrase handy; plan to use for it your final paper.

Once you have identified a source follow the directions below to complete the discussion question:

1. Review the articles and videos on In-Text citations and evaluating websites -found in the Mandatory Readings and Activities section of the unit

2. Search the Internet for an ACADEMIC website source about intrinsic or extrinsic motivation

3. Part 1: From the academic website find a key idea and...

1. Write a paraphrase from the source material

2. Include an In-Text Citation for your paraphrase

4. Part 2: In a separate paragraph answer the following questions based on the principles of information literacy

1. Authorship: What are the credentials of the author/organization? Is contact information available?

2. Objectivity: Does your source contain bias or prejudice? Is the purpose for sharing the information apparent?

3. Currency: When was the information published? When was the website last updated?

4. Correctness: Is the information presented based on facts? Where were the facts obtained from?

5. Credibility: Is there a list of sources they used to write their ideas provided?
