In the movie CASTAWAY;

1. Familiarize yourself with the style of reviewing for IMDB. Read some reviews, e.g., IMDB, Metacritic , or Movie Review Query Engine.

2. Give a brief plot summary of the film. Mention major actors/actress with their characters' names.

3. State a "theme" in the first or second paragraph.

4. Use character names throughout after introducing the actors.

5. Mention other plot points as you elaborate on the theme in the subsequent paragraphs, but keep the points short and always refer them to the thematic ideas you have been establishing. You may make a comment on acting, but keep it short and relevant to the theme.

6. Make a reference to one other film with appropriateness to theme.

7. Choose two techniques such as motif, angle, lighting, etc. Be as specific as possible about their relevance to the theme.
End with a tie-in comment on your theme.

8. Your review should be at least 400 words written in a Microsoft Word document. Allow enough time to post your review. As a new contributor, it may take hours or days to be accepted.

9. Follow the guidelines when submitting a review to the Internet Movie Data Base.
