(a) Shelly steals Hal’s refrigerator and sells it to Bert, an innocent purchaser, for value. Hal learns Bert has the set and demands its return.

(b) Cal takes his diamond ring for repair to Marge, a merchant who sells new and used diamond rings. By accident, one of Marge’s employees sells the ring to Tibo, an innocent purchaser-customer, who takes possession. Cal wants his set back from Tibo.
