A) Read "The Red Wheelbarrow" and "In a Station at the Metro" and demonstrate how these poems Imagist ideology. What does or does not make them Imagist poems? What is the significance of the images presented?

B) Read "The Dance ("In Bruegal's great picture, The Kermess)", and "Landscape with the Fall of Icarus" and compare the poems to the paintings. How does the form and presentation of the poem reinforce and present the idea of the painted work?

C) Read "The Young Housewife," "Spring and All," "The Red Wheelbarrow," "This Is Just to Say," "A Sort of Song," and describe the images in one of these poems. What is the significance of the images presented? Are there metaphors and, if so, how are they used? Are all of these poems Imagist works?

D) "The River-Merchant's Wife: A Letter" is a persona poem like "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock". Who is the narrator in the poem? How does the poem illuminate the characteristics of this narrator? What images in the poem demonstrate her state of mind? How is personification used? And, finally, what is the narrative here?
