When the society shifts their focus to demanding professionals to meet the growing market demand, higher education institutions are forced to meet this demand by structuring their educational curriculum.

I somewhat fully agree with your statement above. In my analysis, I did view society as a major stakeholder because they are the realm that truly controls and monitors the market, needs, and demands.

Many higher education institutions are being forced to meet the financial and output demands of society and that is not fair at all because it can take away from the original foundation of the purpose of higher education. What options does an institution have when the community/society will not or refuses to meet them half way in these efforts?
