In his article 'The role of contract in sports law' Sullivan submits that the precedent of Cameron v Hogan:

a. provides an exception that justifies courts deciding a case interpreting the terms of an athlete's contract.

b.   the parliaments in all states except Queensland and West Australia have now passed statutes that override the authority of Cameron v Hogan

c. has not been applied in any recent sports related cases.

d. is never applied because courts regard the precedent established in the case of Cameron v Hogan as having passed its "use by" date.
