Follow APA format for structure. Support your essay with 2 to 3 credible references beyond the course materials. Please note Wikipedia, Investopedia and similar websites are not credible academic references.
The topic is pretty straightforward, just describe the four components of an information system and discuss why it is important to consider each of them when designing and installing an IS. Some things to keep in mind when writing this essay:
Be sure to thoroughly answer the question You should identify and provide some detail on each component and describe why it is important to consider that component.
Be sure to include an introduction and a conclusion. The way the rubric is weighted, these count for a lot of points and it will be impossible to get an A without both of them.
You need to use at least 2 outside sources. Remember that Wikipedia, Investopedia, and other wiki-style websites are not allowed. Not only do they not count towards the 2 source minimum, you will loose points for using them.
Cite your sources whenever you use them, whether it is a direct quote or a paraphrase of the material.
Follow APA format to the letter. You need a cover page, running head, page numbers, and references page. The title of the paper needs to be on the first line of the second page prior to starting the paper, and it should not be bold. The citations and references must be formatted correctly. If you want to use section headings, be sure to follow APA's rules for formatting each level of headings. Font needs to be Times New Roman 12 point, double spaced, with no extra line spacing between paragraphs or reference listings. Extra hint: be sure to double check the font in your running head and page number. If your default font is something other than Times New Roman, changing the font in the main body of the paper will not automatically change the font in the header, so these will be in your default font, which is not APA format.
The one exception to APA format is that you do not need to include an abstract. However, if you do choose to include one, it needs to be done correctly.
Pay attention to spelling and grammar. Spellcheck does not catch everything, so look it over one final time before uploading it. Know the difference between their and there; know and no (and now!); two, too, and to; it's and its; break and brake; threw and through; and wood and would.
Submit the assignment as a Word document so that an Originality Report gets generated. Be sure the file extension is .doc or .docx, and nothing else. If you are using a freeware clone such as Open Office, you may need to change the default settings to save the file in an acceptable format.
Check your Turnitin Similarity Index after you submit the paper to ensure it is 25% or less. If it is over 25%, you need to revise it and contact me to reset the assignment for you. Assignments with a Similarity Index over 25% will not be graded.
