In a 3-5 page paper list how you would describe yourself to someone including either short phrases or single words about yourself. What are the most important terms/phrases that you feel best describe you? If you provided this list to someone, what stereotypes might someone have about you?

After you have described yourself, focus on your cultural beliefs (values). How are your cultural beliefs a benefit to the workplace?

Finally, let's focus on the workplace. Do you believe diversity management is a profitable initiative? Why or why not? How could a manager learn more about managing a diverse workforce?

Introduction

Use this section as an introduction to provide an overview about what diversity is and how it impacts today's organizations. This would be a good time to include research to help define diversity. Include things such as managers' needs to acknowledge diversity and to unlock the potential various people bring to the organization. Set the reader up for the discussion to follow.

Description of Self

Describe yourself in terms of the way you view yourself. Although it's appropriate to use a bullet list for this, this section must include a paragraph discussion about you. Identify which terms/phrases best describe you.

Stereotypes

Use this section as a paragraph discussion to convince the reader that people have stereotypes and define what that they are. Now that you've described yourself, what stereotypes might others try and project on you?

Cultural Beliefs and Values

Now that you've described yourself and identified stereotypes that people could assume about you, how can your cultural beliefs and values serve as a benefit to the workplace? When writing this section, place yourself in a managerial role where you would be in a position of influence.

Diversity Management as a Profitable Initiative

Provide your opinion about diversity being a profitable initiative for organizations. In other words, is diversity good or bad for business? Indicate whether or not you agree and then support your viewpoint with research. Convince the skeptical reader that your viewpoint is the correct one.

Managing a Diverse Workforce

Given all of the above that you have written, what do you believe managers can learn from managing a diverse workforce? Obviously, diversity is in the workforce and is here to stay. If you are a manager giving advice to new managers, would what you tell them about diversity?

Conclusion

Finally, write a conclusion that summarizes the importance of diversity and why organizations should take it seriously. Ideally, conclusions should be at least five (5) sentences in length. Your references will then begin on the last page. Make sure this paper contains at least two (2) references.
