Implement and monitor nursing care for older clients

Questions/Tasks -

Candidates need to research one disease/disorder, from each of the following areas, in relation to the older person -

• Eye diseases
• Oral cavity diseases
• Skin diseases
• Gastrointestinal diseases
• Muscoskeletal disorders

Candidates must include the following in each response -

a) A description of the disease/disorder.

b) The signs and symptoms of the disease/disorder.

c) Current treatments used for this disease/disorder.

d) A list of the nursing interventions that you, as an Enrolled Nurse, may undertake to assist an older person, and the rationales for why.
