Imagine that you serve as the president of the American Public Health Association (APHA). In your role, you have a major responsibility for championing the health of all people and all communities. One of the major items on your agenda is to create awareness about the importance of being insured and having a primary health care provider.

President Barack Obama has contacted you regarding the mission of the Affordable Care Act. He has asked you to work closely with him in ensuring that all communities are insured. He asked you to develop a vision for APHA that would incorporate the mission of the Affordable Care Act.

How would you create a vision that would incorporate the mission of the Affordable Care Act? As president of the APHA, how would you disseminate this vision to members of the APHA and nonmembers? How would you begin to put the vision in motion?
