Imagine that you have finished this class, and one of your friends who has not taken the class asks you the following questions:

1) "I heard that you were learning about law in the United States. Is it true that their Supreme Court can say that a law passed by their Congress is unconstitutional? If that happens, can the president still enforce the law? What if the president disagrees with the Supreme Court? There are only nine justices on the court, right? Why would the president--who is in charge of the military--follow what the court says?"

Provide an answer to this question that describes the rule of law, and explain why the answer to this question is so important for the way the United States' government operates.

2) After you answer, your friend says, "Oh, I see. I didn't understand how important the rule of law is. But what about for business? Is the rule of law particularly important for businesses?"

Provide an answer to this question that explains how the rule of law impacts businesses, and how a strong rule of law can benefit business.
