I'm looking for any opinions and shared experiences. I am hopeful this depletes the pain in my lower abdomen and back, has it worked for any of you? I am going this route after a laproscopic to rid some of the endo tissue on my right side, then had an IUD which seemed to not help at all and my menstration has been like 3 wks on/ 1 off and that just made the pain worse. Do you have to have hormones after this surgery, I couldn't tell if at my preop, my surgeon said it was possible or diffinite? I have read about surgically induced menopause, is this likely? I avoided going the hormone route since I am now 40 and would like it to come naturally. Also, if she doesn't take my cervix will I still have a period? I also suffer from Fibromyalgia/DDD and others(meaning simply chronic pain) so my surgeon wants to keep me at the hospital long enough to make sure my pain management is under control with pills after using a pump overnight. (I take a sad 5/325 oxycodone and she will be giving me Dilaudid for recovery.) Any info is appreciated, thank you kindly. I've had a number of orthopedic surgeries which I've watched on YouTube, no problem but I couldn't get 30seconds into this one, some things are better just left in the professionals hands!
Endometriosis - I have 3 days before my hysterectomy and while I'm a bit frightened of the idea of?
