I'm actually a healthcare provider in a very busy cardiac surgery ICU. We use nitric on a regular basis to help with pulmonary hypertension and ARDS. I was exposed to full concentration of it for about 10 minutes attempting assess and fixe a leak we had. I ended up not feeling to great, obviously, and it took me about 3 days to full recuperate from the "sick" feeling. It felt like my body had been ran over by a truck. We had no protocol on what to do with ourselves being exposed. 

I started to notice small changes and just not feeling "well" after the incident. I started to become sensitive to light and now have full-blown photo dermatitis, especially with fluorescent lighting. My hands are becoming tight/swollen/contracted with minimal use. I have Raynauds like symptoms to any temperature change and the worst is with exposure to flourescent lighting. All my symptoms seem to be autoimmune but no testing comes back positive for anything. I have phrenic nerve pain, shin pain etc. I have been off of work on medical leave since last October. Has there been any other reported cases of over exposure to hospital employees that included symptoms beyond the headache, dizziness etc? What I inhaled attempting to fix the leak was full concentrate and we, on average, give 20 ppm or less. Any information or guidance to experts who might have any insight would be greatly appreciated. I'm wondering if exposure triggered something in my body to change so drastically. I need to be back at work, I support my family.
