Problem: The ability to secure events that will generate additional revenue is paramount to success as a sport manager. Please complete the assignment below by answering the questions and place it in the "Dropbox".

Required:

1. Identify an existing event, or create your own original event, which you feel would be a viable option for creating additional revenue for your organization(the one for which you are currently employed, or aspire to be employed by). The event should generate between $5,000 - $10,000 in revenue for your organization. It must be a realisitic event, and one that could be managed by you.

2. Identify examples where the same type of event has been used successfully in other geographical regions, or by other institutions.

3. Why do you think it would work for your organization?

4. Identify at least three people (specific names of people to whom you have access) with whom you would closely consult before embarking on your project. Who are they, and why would you choose them?

5. What factors would you have to take into account when trying to determine the economic impact of your event on the surrounding community and/or your organization?
