I work for an institution that is stating that because Botox is reconstituted with a nonpreservative solution that it must be used wtihin one hour of reconstitution and if not used in that time frame then it must be thrown out. All literature including manufacturer and FDA state botox must be used within 24 hours of reconstitution with proper storage. Also, have been informed that where botox is a single use vial that it also cannot be punctured more than 2 times for withdrawal of fluid. Does the CDC overrule the FDA re Botox and reconstitution?
