I was treated for blood clots in left leg and had clots in both lungs. I am a 76 yr old female. Have been taking evista for at least 10 ys. I am on 20 mg xarelto. Can I resume taking evista?

Demonindc asked for more details. Took Evista for over 10 yrs with no problem. In late Nov a family me mber was hospitalized. I spent long hrs at hospital. Also did not go to exercise as I normally do. He died in mid-Jan. I had not been feeling well - short of breath & tired, but I thought it was due to stress. In late Jan I was hospitalized w/blood clots in leg & both lungs. Was referred to a blood specialist who found no underlying cause (cancer, etc). He agreed with me that it was a combination of Evista, inactivity, & lack of exercise. My primary Dr said I could resume Evista, but I have not because of what I have read. I have breast ca in my family, so I liked Evista, but am afraid to start back. I can't take Fosamax because of Gerd, so I don't know what to take for my bones.
