I was taking depakote er 2000 mg a day for many years for seizure. The beginning of last year I  broke out in a fever of 102.8 had the fever for over a week. Started shaking really bad to where I could not even hold a pen to right or a pot to cook. Then lost a good amount of my hair some hearing loss and much more happened to me. I had two doctors tell me it was because of the medicine. My neurologist finally changed my medicine. But I will never forget what I went though and what my children and husband had to see. Know I have a ringing in my ear and my hair has not grown back like it was. Did the doctor give me to much that is my question.
