I was just diagnosed with ET. Platelet count at 650 with no symptoms but have had DVT's and PE's in the past. I was given Anagrelide HCL at 0.5mg 4x per day. In my research I wonder how the Hematologist knew it was ET instead of PV or PMF without a bone marrow biopsy? I had JAK2 V617Fmutation and MPV at 7.1fl. Every thing else was normal. I am 72 and a very active cyclist. I am also wondering if the slight nausea from the med should eventually disappear?
