I used orajel mouth sore gel on an abrasion on my lip and it turned the area above the abrasion white (I'm assuming some got onto the unaffected area as well). Also, I must sadly admit that I probably used too much of the product too soon. Specifically, I used it around 8 p.m. last night, woke up around 2 a.m. and put some more on, and then applied again around 8:30 a.m. I have obviously wiped it off & will not use again (or at least any time soon). Will the white above the affected area fade away? If so, how long does it take? Also, I understand that it's very serious if the skin turns grey or blue but this is very clearly white.
