I started losing my hair after I went off BC pills at 45 and went through menopause at age 52. I am now 57 and have been taking hormones prescribed by my doctor for several years now and he wants me to stop taking them soon due to the side affects. The night sweats and hot flashes have diminished but I'm still experiencing hair loss even taking the hormones. I don't want to continue to lose my hair and start back the other symptoms of menopause. Do I need more blood work to determine my hormone levels now? Is there something that can be specifically formulated for my specific hormone need?
