I recently had a new MRI on my thoracic and cervical spine because I've been having horrible upper back pain and headaches. My pain management doctor called me this past Friday (March 28) to tell me that I have four new herniated discs in my thoracic spine and that they found a 6mm herniation of my cerebellar tonsils, A.K.A. Chiari malformation. Does anyone else have this? I'm kinda freaking out. I'm trying to remain calm until I get in with a neurosurgeon. It really does explain a lot, but I have read that it can be a very dangerous condition. New MRI had a bad result?
